Fell the old Fashionable City In Modern City of Yogyakarta
In the exuberance, if you strolling around Yogyakarta city now, you may perceived a heterogenous modern city with all temptation in every culture. People, student college, modern building between commercial and office mixed together in the culture of yogyakarta.
I dont want to use extreme terminology such as city architecture, economic agglomeration, cultural behavioral viability..but in the jogjakarta you will find them not in the theory but in your glance..! There is a one place with a unique texture of small city called "Kota Gede" (read: Big city). Big city determined as a big civilization under Kandjeng Panembahan Senopati empire.
Talk about Kotagede, its located in the 14 km southeast of yogyakarta city. Mataram empire remain manifestated into an old city of Kotagede. Silver handycraft, trad house with joglo, Legi market, Omah duwur restaurant, Hastarengga cemetery, and 3 stone monument as a sophisticated landmark in this city. I think its enough to describe Kotagede at the glance..Guys you can search for the detail about Kotagede in Mr.Google or Mrs Wikipedia.
Fortunately, in my observation about Kotagede, I found dramatic place whic may describe a terminology of "Big City at the time. Keep stay tune in the picture below.
The humanitarian soul lives in the Kotagede people. The java concept "saged" (read: able) has a meaning to shown a capability and viability to keep their spirit until now. Saged concept manifestated in a spatial order and activity in this city.
